I got my iPhone 11 Pro Max in 2019 and three years later the phone is in a absolute mint condition. Yes the plastic scratches easily, like it did on the Speck cases, but remember the case is supposed to take the beating, not the phone. My kid has dropped my phone a thousand times, I’ve traveled to several countries with this case and it has held up fine. I’m thinking people that gave negative reviews either uses this case as a hockey puck or were in extreme sports. They’ve now changed their name to Raptic Shield as I tried to buy this for my 14 Pro Max. Wireless charging didn’t work the greatest though. I’ll be honest I wasn’t looking for that feature during the purchase of this case, so it would be an unfair review. Since my first iPhone in 2008 till now: my favorite cases have been Griffin, Speck, Tech 21, Otterbox Symmetry and now Raptic / X Doria. Yes it scratches easy but don’t let that hold you back.I have used this case with my iPhone 11 Pro Max since February 2020. I have dropped it plenty of times between then and now. The other day I dropped my phone in this case for the last time. The case took its final blow. When I took my phone out of the broken case it still looks brand new. My only grief is they no longer have the midnight green color option. I surfed the Amazon web and nothing seem better so I’m going to buy this case again.This is a study and beautiful case. It fits perfectly on an iPhone 11Pro Max and provides great protection without being too bulky. The raised edges around the screen and camera are significant enough to provide significant protection. I am also using a glass screen protector and tri-camera protector and they easily fit with the case on.I ordered two other cases before I settled on this one. It fits snugged, looks stylist, and seems to very durable. The titanium trim matches my green iPhone 11 Pro Max perfectly. I’m very happy with this purchase.This phone case probably the best I’ve ever had but the metal on the sides fell off after around 2 monthsFits well and seems to offer good protection in a slim package.Update 8/28/21: I went to Raptics website and emailed there customer service explaining the failure of the case. The failure did result in my IPhone 11 Pro Max having the front and rear glass break. Luckily I have AppleCare and that’s why I have AppleCare. Unfortunately these things happen. I had the X-Doria with the attachable metal protector that went around the edge and that case was a beast! The things that phone went through in that case was unbelievable and it survived with minimal scratching. It went through war…literally haha. I wish they still made that case to be honest. But I emailed customer service and one for there employees Kim got back to my email in 2 minutes! She apologized and asked fir the order number, a photo of the case and address. Sent that to her and Raptic had a replacement case out to me within 24-48 hours which is pretty remarkable. I’m always going to stick with there cases because they actually work, unless you have luck like mine and get a case that had a default. But even that default wouldn’t have been able to be seen unless the aluminum came off completely. After I knew it was warrantied I too the aluminum edge off and under that aluminum, in the top left hand corner the plastic was almost as thin as paper vs the whole rest of the case being structurally sound. Unfortunately that edge is where my phone hit resulting in a 1200$ phone being almost destroyed from a 5 foot fall off a standing tripod. I wouldn’t let this detour you from buying one if there cases. If you have an older iPhone and can get your hands on an xdoria…DO IT! If not get the little brother, the Lux. It’s has black leather or carbon leather. The black leather is like 10-15$ and I promise it’s just as strong as an otterbox with flexibility. Thank you KIM fkr such a fast turnaround on the warranty! And I do highly recommend these cases8/25/21: I’ve had this for 9 months. I don’t work in construction, I wasn’t deployed with this phone case, I don’t play “skip your phone across the ground” with this case lol. And the mental had separated from the back. You can see how long it’s been like that because if the dirt and dust under the mental in the photo. I had there last Gen case with the metal piece that latched in and that case lasted me years! It goes to show what cutting corners on production does. It’s disappointing to be honest.Easy to holdThe case is beautiful. I’ve used tpu before for my tablet(unicorn beetle). I bought this snd an I entice unicorn beetle to the one for my tablet. While this one is nice, I feel like it feels flimsy in my hand on the edges where I feel it should be sturdier toprotect my iphine11pro max. I just feel like if I dropped it it wouldn’t protect well enough. Was always on edge. When I took it off to put my unicorn beetle one on it was hard to get off. I was so scared I was going to break my phone!I've had a few iPhones now and had settled for Spigen and Griffin covers. Looked at alternatives and found the Defense cover to be less bulky and easier to hold. The polycarbonate cover on back feels non-slip and makes it much easier to hold compared to my other covers; makes a big difference when using the large smart phone.Dropped my phone couple of times. Phone and case are both OK. , Buttons are convenient, Sound is not getting blocked. Access to a charging plug is good. Metal and rubber frame is quality made. Backside transparent plastic may get some scratches overtime, but they are not very noticable. I really like this case.
