Where have you been all my life? Life is so much better having this vacuum and mop my floor. OMGMy floors are hardwood and I have one carpet. I have a dog. I have long hair. I have been neglectful at keeping up with the vacuuming and mopping but never when I vacuumed did it EVER get my floors absolutely polished without a speck. It picked up the finest to the most embedded in my carpet. I have taken a brush to my carpet before to lift hair for the vacuum to pick it up - and it was a lot of work for little reward. I basically determined that I'd sooner buy new rugs until I came across this when I wasn't really in the market for anything. My old vacuum works and I thought it worked well. I almost did NOT buy this Viomi - it was second choice because there were only 26 reviews and the other had over 1000, but the rankings and glee from the reviews - and the belated avail of the 1st choice - made me get this. It is truly the best. Watching it map the rooms - my ability to select which rooms - watching it be SO thorough and hug every side and pocket. But really none of that matters if it doesn't suction up everything - and it SUCTIONS up everything. I've gone over my rug about 4 times in 2 days - which I've done because it's picked up sooo much. I've told my mail lady about it, I told a man who came to inspect for termites (no termites!). You'd think I was getting kickbacks. I'm not.The ONLY thing that was hard - was something so painfully obvious that they didn't think to put in the manual - and that is HOW DO YOU OPEN IT? I looked in the manual, I looked online, I looked for YouTube videos... nothing! I grabbed at the sides, afraid to apply any pressure, I pulled slightly at the "knob"... confounded! But all you do to open is LIFT the seamless lid that has no notch it's just the lower half of the circle. ANYWAY, so amazing.The only thing that could be improved: my long hair gets wound and wound around the brush - that's great - it really works - but removing the hair from the ends of the brush is a process. It would be better if the ends were detachable so the hair could slide off.
